Additional Information
SMART Vascular Dx measures 9 strategically identified biomarkers to give you a clear look at your vascular health.
The test detects the early stages of Heart Disease by detecting the initial arterial or endothelial damage. When the lining of the artery is damaged, the body’s immune system is activated, causing a lesions to form, potentially leading to health complications, or death.
CTACK
CTACK is associated with homing of memory T lymphocytes to the skin, and plays a role in T cell-mediated inflammation of the skin.
HGF
Hepatocyte growth factor regulates cell growth, and has been shown to have a major role in adult organ regeneration, and in wound healing.
Eotaxin
Eotaxin is involved in recruiting cells that clean up damage in the blood vessels and facilitates healing.
IL-16
IL-16 is a “Signaling Molecule” triggers repair process. Immune response begins.
MCP-3
MCP-3 Recruits monocyte/macrophages that form foam cells which clean up damaged cells, lipids, and cellular debris.
Fas
Fas is a key component of cell repair “prevents cell death”.
Fas Ligand
Fas Ligand initiates cell death and recycling.
